Saving The Bees
Imagine a world without sweet
tasting fruits ...
Did
you know ... honey bees are responsible for pollinating 1/3
of all the foods we eat.
Bees are major contributors to the global
environment. They provide for edible plants and many other important
things. We can't live without them.
Did you know ... Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). CCD is a
mysterious disorder causing the disappearance of millions of
honeybees that if left unsolved, could affect the availability of
the food we eat.
Because organic farms grow fruits and vegetables without pesticides,
they are naturally bee-friendly places that actually need bees to
grow their crops. Support these growers who are crucial to fighting
Colony Collapse Disorder by using the links below to locate your
local organic farmers and picking up some of their produce. This
simple step can help prevent bees from disappearing in your area.
Our goal is to help create a world where people have the information
and tools they need to make the highest ethical choices and do the
best for themselves, their families and the environment. That’s no
short order, but it is attainable. We’ve started with a strong and
on-going commitment to a set of values and activities that support
the well-being of people and our planet. We call it The Greater
Good.
Food For Life Planting Foundation created this page because honey
bee populations are disappearing at an alarming rate, and we want to
keep these tiny creatures alive.
Food For Life Planting Foundation has procured several acres in the
Midwest just for these little guys. Over the course of the next 12
months we will be setting up new homes so they can live safe and
secure.
If you have property, set aside a section of your property for a
hive or donate to the foundation (specify the donation is for the
bees) and we’ll put 100% of your donation towards all the necessary
bee equipment and procurement of the bees.
Please, join our mission.
